What is the college-ready pathway?
The College-Ready Pathway provides a route for students who are interested in attending college after high school, but who may not be ready for or have the ability to complete the STGEC. This pathway is 15 credit hours and includes at least one dual credit English course and at least one dual credit mathematics course. The remainder of the 15 credit hours are earned in each student's choice of science, history, political science, additional mathematics, or additional English courses.
NOTE: These credits do not transfer as a "package." Each individual college or university decides how whether each individual course counts toward degree requirements or counts as general elective credit.
This pathway is for you if...
- You plan to attend a 2-year or 4-year college when you graduate
- You want to gain experience in college level courses for free
- You aren't sure what major or field of study you want to complete in college
- You want to complete some of your freshman year college requirements
