What is the STGEC?
The STGEC (Statewide Transfer General Education Core) is a program that allows a student to complete their first year of college during his or her high school career. Students must complete a set sequence of classes in order to earn this certification. The credits earned through the STGEC transfer as a 30 hour package to any Indiana public college or university as first year core requirements. Students can potentially save up to $40,000 through this amazing program!
What courses will I take?
Students must complete at least 1 course (3 credits) in each of the boxes listed below. Additionally, students must complete at least 30 credit hours of coursework using any combination of classes after at least 3 credits have come from each row on the chart.
